Acrylic on canvas. This painting is about all the reasons women keep thier mouths shut. Fear seems to be the obvious one, but women often keep thier mouths shut for lots of reasons. To keep peace. Women often have to have the strength to let things go by because others just can't. They more often can instantly weigh the importance of having a say against the importance of the reactions. Women through history have spoken up in many different ways and changed all our lives for the better. This painting honors those who kept quiet when it was for the good. It also mourns what might have been if those who kept quiet had spoken out.
